Are golf carts actually allowed on 30A? We're staying in Blue Mountain in November and wondering if it's worth renting one to get around.

Short version: on the road itself you need a street-legal low speed vehicle, not a regular golf cart, plus a valid license, registration, and insurance. The private towns like Seaside, Alys, and Rosemary have their own restrictions too, so check with your rental and the community before booking one. Blue Mountain is on the more relaxed side of that spectrum.
